| Right to Know Law
Pennsylvania’s “Right to Know Law” is the state’s version of the
federal “Freedom of Information Act.” This law requires that
certain records of the Commonwealth and its political subdivisions
and of certain authorities and other agencies performing essential
government functions, to be open for examination and inspection by
citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Citizens wishing to examine and/or obtain
copies of public information are to submit their request in writing

The letter must state exactly what information
is being requested. It must also be signed and dated by the
